Each piece has been 100% designed and made by the owner in their Hunter Valley workshop.

Our furniture requires little care and maintenance, durable finsihes have been applied to protect all surfaces. Dusting and a quick wipe over with a damp cloth should keep the piece in tiptop condition. No need for harsh chemical clearner, if required, use a eco friendly non-toxic spray solution.
The timber shelves are beautiful reclaimed Kaur Pine floor boards, an Australian native softwood and a coniferous tree, grown in Queensland. It has a fine even texture, pale cream to pinkish brown colour and straight grain. The visable damage from previous wood borer activity has made for an interesting pattern feature, and lasting impression of the timbers previous life.
The timber was sourced from a Hunter Valley salvage and demoltion company.
Sanding Kauri pine furniture requires a delicate touch to avoid damaging the wood fibers. Kauri pine is a soft yet high quality & durable material, it's important to use the right sanding techniques and grits to achieve a smooth finish without causing splintering or gouging. Several different sanding grits and two coats of Australian made Cabots hard waring polyurethane UV resistant finish were used being applied with a 12 hour drying time between coats with a light sand in between each coat to achieve the final stunning finish.
The trolley frame has been hand fabricated with 30x30x3.0 Australian steel angle sourced from local company Hunter Valley Steel. Recaliamed steel from vintage push lawn mowers make up the rear feet and handle with antique cast iron trolleys wheels make the piece functional, all sourced from Hunter Valley second hand and antique dealers. The two wheels were modified to accept a section of steel round bar to form the axel. Two coats of Metal Pro Grey Primer, with corrosion barrier by Dy-Mark, (Austrailan owned and manufactured) was applied to the frame, two to three top coats of Montana Black water based enamel (Germany) and two clear coats of Australian Export clear.
The steel frame has been custom fabricated on site using a Weldskill 135 Mig welding unit from Cigweld and 0.8mm mild steel gasless wire.
An effort has been made to source materials and products locally from the Hunter Valley, and Australian Companies. As the business develops I hope to incrrease the use of local/Australian products.
