Our Mid-Century coffee table crafted from Recycled Spotted Gum floorboards has a charming blend of vintage appeal and sustainable craftsmanship. The table's surface showcases the character-rich, honey-toned hues of spotted gum, with its distinctive speckled patterns and original nail holes adding rustic charm. The recycled floorboards, now repurposed into a tabletop, bear subtle marks of their previous life, hinting at their history and adding to the table's unique character.
Supporting the tabletop are sturdy, minimalist legs, crafted from the same recycled wood. The legs provide stability while maintaining the table's elegant frame. Overall, this mid-century coffee table will not only serve as a functional piece of furniture but also as a statement of eco-conscious design and timeless style.

The Coffee Table is made from Australian Recycled Spotted Gum Floor Boards sourced from a demolished church hall in Hornsby NSW. The boards are most likely from the 1980's. The colour, nail holes and wear have made for truely rusitc look, yet modern contemporary style with the addition of hand shaped tapered legs in the same timber. These legs were inspired by iconic Sydney furniture company Summertone, who produced Mid-Century designs from 1952 to 1963 in their Bankstown workshop NSW.
An effort has been made to source materials and products locally from the Hunter Valley, and Australian Companies. As the business develops I hope to incrrease the use of local/Australian products.
Our furniture requires little care and maintenance, durable finsihes have been applied to protect all surfaces. Dusting and a quick wipe over with a damp cloth should keep the piece in tiptop condition. No need for harsh chemical clearners. If required use a eco friendly non-toxic spray cleaner.
